SXSFedu: Technapex's Pre-Conference Edtech Mixer is a happy hour event in SF for those who can't make SXSWedu in Austin or people who want to meet other attendees before the conference. SXSF brings together investors, executives and entrepreneurs to discuss innovations and challenges in the education tech space, allowing those attending the SXSWedu conference to connect with other attendees, and those unable to attend can still engage in meaningful discussion.

The classroom is shifting towards digital in a major way: iPads, e-books, gaming in the classroom, and other digital platforms have become more popular than ever. The panel, moderated by an edtech journalist, will explore the digital shift in edtech, talking about how their respective companies are improving learning through the shift to digital, what's being lost, how schools can bridge the digital divide, and what this means for the future of education.

We’re pleased to announce that participating panelists will include local SF edtech companies, including Kno, lynda.com, Edmodo, GlassLab (collaborators on EA's Sim CityEDU), and Meograph. Drinks and light appetizers will be followed by the panel discussion, moderated by Tina Barseghian, the founder and editor and of NPR’S MindShift, a news website about innovations in learning.The panel will conclude with an open Q&A session and guests are invited to stick around for drinks and mingling.
